Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to Doctoral programme (Ph.D) as per UGC (minimum standards and procedures for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D degree) regulations, 2009 dated 01.06.2009, published in the Gazette of India, dated 11th July, 2009
Eligibility conditions: A Master’s degree with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grades in Engineering/Technology/Science/Humanitise/Commerce/Medicine/Law/Education/Pharmacy/ Management of a recognized Indian university or a degree approved by the Association of Indian Universities, to the satisfaction of Academic Council of the MRIU in the relevant field
Applicants with a Bachelor degree of 4 year duration after 10+2 in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/ other professional disciplines, with either 70% or more marks in aggregate and a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience in recognized institute/university/industry/government organizations may also be considered eligible for admission subject to the recommendation of the concerned department research committees, board of studies and approval of academic council provided that such applicants may be required to qualify in the course(s) prescribed by the concerned Department Research Committee/Board of Study, if required so
Fee: Registration charges Rs 5000/- (one time), tuition fee Rs 25000/- per annum, dissertation evaluation fee Rs 5000/-
Admission procedure: Admission shall be made on the basis of written test and interview as per details given in the admission brochure. The admission brochure containing a scratch card, and giving all other details is available with the admission cell of the university and administrative headquarter on the cash payment of Rs 1200/- or can also be downloaded from the university website www.mriu.edu.in
The candidates are required to apply on-line only through the link available on the website, which requires number mentioned on the scratch card or payment through credit/debit card
All finally selected candidates shall be required to undergo course work of one semester likely to start in September 2010

A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:
- For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July, 1992 only are eligible.
- For Naval Academy; Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 (2nd July, 1987 in case of NCC Naval Wing 'C' Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July 1992 only are eligible.
- For Air Force Academy; Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1992 only are eligible.
- For Officers Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not later than 1st July, 1992 only are eligible.
- For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not later than 1st July, 1992.
- For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy: -- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
- For Naval Academy- B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering
- For Air Force Academy- Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates published in Commissions Notice for the Examination.
Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2010 as given in Appendix-V of (Commissions Notice for the Examination published in Employment news/Rozgar Samachar dated 17th April, 2010.
How To Apply
Candidates who wish to apply Off-line must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix -- lll of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.
In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOS/POS, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No.011- 23389366/Fax No.011- 23387310.
